About Shamiana
In Mayan, In Lak’ech j~ Ala K’in
Within you - I see myself. We are ONE.
Similar to Namaste in India. The same is stated in the indigenous tribes of our northers sisters and brothers.
Within us we carry not only light, but the mirror that reflects back.
We scare those whose desire is to remain hidden. Any attack is personal - so time to realize that you are just the sounding board for their vitriol - that they are screaming into the mirror of the soul.

You've probably been working with a medical system that attempts to separate you from the person that you are working with.
Shamiana is a complex integration of high touch, high hearing, high focus. When you say "I hurt here" - most in the medical field will take you at your word at look where the SYMPTOM is to try to fix it. Few look to the actual SOURCE of the symptom. Let that soak in. What do you want? To mask the symptom - or resolve the cause? But we also understand sometimes you can't resolve the cause - so knowing the best method to control the affect/symptom becomes key. You call us because you are in pain (of some type) . You call us because someone referred you (they're not paid to) When the body has been injured - the responses / reactions happen outwards from the original site. So if you break the collar bone - you'll see issues down the arm, up into the neck, down into the diaphragm etc etc. The Echo Outwards from the original injury. So you may say "my leg hurts" but the cause is what we're looking to resolve. So don't get bent out of shape if we treat your back and pelvis before I see if the leg pain still exists. Though we'll sooth that, as well as as the body/mind remembers where the pain was experienced. Yes complex huh. :) |
the meaning of Shamiana?
In East Indian tradition - a shamiana is a tent for special ceremonies or rituals.
We've expanded this to be a place of special traditions, ceremonies, rituals and healing. As healing is the root of our work but we know often that having a place to retreat from "it all" is often as healing as healing 'work' itself. So welcome to Shamiana. |
co-creating The vision
We add solidity of structure. A place of healing, special events, ceremony, sacred or divine work. A space that is soft enough for your heart but tough enough for real work to be accomplished.
Healing Intention is the cord that holds all things in balance. |
